The Historical Society Has Great Events This Old Home Week!

Snag some artifacts and bargains at the Orrington Historical Society Indoor Yard Sale at the historic Grange Hall on Friday-Saturday, July 12-13, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at 446 Dow Road.


The SedgeunkeDUCK Regatta is Sunday, July 14 from 11:30 a.m. -1 p.m.!  You can adopt ducks to race now at the Orrington Public Library or Town Hall.  Duckies can also be adopted starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Sedgeunkedunk Kayak launch area. Duckies can be adopted for $10 each or 3 for $25.


Come see the Rug Hooking Display and learn more about this fascintating skill on Tuesday, July 16.  Open from 9:30am - 1:00pm.  FREE!


The Orrington Historical Society's Annual History Presentation is set for Tuesday, July 16 from 6:30pm - 7:30pm at the OHS Grange Hall at 446 Dow Road. Learn about how special Orrington was and continues to be. Those getting to the Hall before 6:30 p.m. can take a tour of the new archival room, ADA bathroom and storage facilities. This event is FREE, though donations are encouraged.  Light refreshments will be served.


The Orrington Historical Society is a non-profit organization located in Maine and dedicated to collecting and archiving documents, records, and photos from the past. The OHS also interviews residents of Orrington to discover and share their personal stories.
